1. Fenugreek Seeds:
Also known as methi seeds, fenugreek has the ability to lower the cholesterol and triglyceride level in the body. You can consume a tablespoon of soaked fenugreek seeds every day to see results quickly. Also, fenugreek seeds are found to be effective against blood sugar level in people with diabetes.

2Oatmeal, oat bran and high-fiber foods
Oatmeal contains soluble fiber, which reduces your low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the “bad” cholesterol. Soluble fiber is also found in such foods as kidney beans, Brussels sprouts, apples and pears.

Soluble fiber can reduce the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. Five to 10 grams or more of soluble fiber a day decreases your LDL cholesterol. One serving of a breakfast cereal with oatmeal or oat bran provides 3 to 4 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as a banana or berries, you’ll get even more fiber.
3. Lemon:
Lemons are said to be a great source of Vitamin C and drinking lemon juice on a daily basis can reduce the level of bad LDL cholesterol in the body. Lemon juice is high in citric acid which makes it an amazing natural cleanser. Drink some lemon juice with warm water first thing every morning on an empty stomach.
4. Fatty Fish:
Fatty fish are good source of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. They can lower the LDL in body by replacing the meat which has high LDL increasing saturated fats and also by providing LDL lowering fats. These Omega-3 fatty acids reduce the triglycerides in the blood and save the heart from irregular rhythms. Just make sure to cook fish by steaming it instead of frying it in oil as that can increase the risk of a heart disease.

Almonds, walnuts and other nuts can lower the risk of heart complications in people who had heart attack history, as per the recent studies. Having nuts regularly can improve the blood cholesterol. Avocados are amazing source of many nutrients and monounsaturated fatty acid. Thus adding them to a daily diet can be highly beneficial for the improvement of LDL cholesterol in the blood especially for people who are overweight. You can add avocado as a side dish or add few slices in to the salads and sandwiches.
